The Intensive Bridge Program is an individualized, 12 week reading support program designed for children ages 5-11 who benefit from additional, consistent attention to strengthen reading skills.
Through short, daily sessions, children receive focused, one-on-one support in foundational areas of reading, including sound awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Each child begins the program with a diagnostic assessment, allowing Reading Bridge tutors to develop a personalized reading plan that reflects the child’s strengths, needs, and learning pace.
Sessions are 30 minutes in length and are offered five days a week in collaboration with schools, after-school programs, or within the child’s home environment. This flexible structure allows reading support to integrate seamlessly into a child’s existing school-day or after-school routine.
Throughout Intensive Bridge Program, children work individually with a Reading Bridge–trained tutor in a calm, supportive setting. Progress is monitored regularly, and families receive clear, thoughtful communication about reading growth as well as ongoing areas for support and strengthening. The Intensive Bridge Program is designed to provide steady, responsive support during the school year—helping children build confidence, maintain momentum, and experience success as readers without added pressure.
The Yearly Bridge Program is an individualized, year-long reading support program offered throughout the school year for children ages 5-11 who benefit from consistent, ongoing guidance in reading development. Through regularly scheduled, 30-minute sessions, children receive one-on-one instruction focused on foundational reading skills, including sound awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Each child begins the program with a diagnostic assessment, allowing Reading Bridge tutors to create a personalized reading plan that supports growth over time while responding to the child’s evolving needs.
Sessions are offered in collaboration with schools, after-school programs, and, when appropriate, within the child’s home environment. The Yearly Bridge Program is designed for families seeking sustained, responsive reading support across the full school year, offering stability, momentum, and a calm, encouraging learning environment.
The Summer Bridge Intensive Program is an individualized summer reading experience designed to support children ages 5–11 who would benefit from additional time, attention, and confidence-building in reading.
Through short, consistent daily sessions, children receive focused support in foundational reading skills such as sound awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Each child begins the program with a diagnostic assessment that allows Reading Bridge tutors to create a personalized reading plan tailored to the child’s unique strengths and learning needs.
Sessions are held for 30 minutes each day, four days a week, and are offered in collaboration with local summer camps and learning centers. This structure allows children to receive targeted reading instruction while continuing to participate in familiar summer programming.
Throughout the program, children work one-on-one with a Reading Bridge–trained tutor in a supportive, encouraging environment. Progress is monitored across the session, and families receive clear information about reading growth as well as continued areas for support as children prepare for the upcoming school year.
